What this site is for
Pot & Prop covers one buyer: someone keeping plants in a small apartment they probably do not own. That constraint produces a specific set of problems — not enough floor, one usable window, a deposit to protect and no permission to drill — and almost nothing written about houseplant gear takes those as the starting point.
So the site is organized around them. Stands are ranked by plants per square foot of floor. Hanging hardware is ranked against what a watered pot of that size actually weighs. Anything that needs a hole in the wall is marked as such. There are 54 pages and 82 products, and every number on all of them is either quoted from a listing or computed from a public source.

An enthusiast who is genuinely into this. No lab coat, no test bench, no years behind a nursery counter — someone who reads the manuals, compiles the published specs and does the arithmetic. What a watered pot actually weighs, what the hook is actually rated for, how many inches of floor a stand really takes. If a number appears on this site you can click through to where it came from.
That framing is deliberate and it is the honest one. There is no horticultural qualification here, no years behind a nursery counter, no test lab. What there is: a willingness to read the specification sheet, work out what a number means, and publish the working so anyone can check it.
What we have not done
We have not tested any of the products on this site. Nobody here has handled them. Every specification quoted is the seller's claim, attributed as such, and every weight, footprint and density figure is computed from published sources with the arithmetic shown on the page.
That is a limitation and it is also the site's whole method. The ranking field in this category is full of publishers claiming to have handled twenty stands, and none of them publish what a watered pot weighs — the number that decides whether any of those stands is suitable. We cannot compete on a test bench we do not have. We can publish arithmetic that anyone can reproduce, which is a claim that survives being checked. The full method is here.
How it is funded
Affiliate commission, from Amazon. When you buy through a link here, Pot & Prop earns a percentage at no extra cost to you. We have not been given any products, we do not accept sponsored placements, and nobody pays to appear on a list. The disclosure page has the detail.
The thing that would be worth checking, if you are skeptical: every roundup on this site names the buyer each pick is wrong for, and several pages recommend the cheaper option or recommend not buying at all. That is what an editorial process that is not for sale looks like in practice.
Who publishes it
Pot & Prop is published by Slate Mill Group, which owns and operates the site. It is a national publication with no shop, no premises and no walk-in trade — which is why you will not find an address on this site and why there is no local-business markup pretending otherwise.
