> Plant stands, planters and propagation stations for small apartments. Every load claim is checked against what a watered pot in that size actually weighs, and every renter-safe flag means no drilling.

Pot & Prop (https://potandprop.com) publishes buying guides and reference tables for keeping
houseplants in small, usually rented apartments. Its distinguishing method is that
every weight and space claim is computed from published sources and shown on the
page, rather than asserted from hands-on testing that did not happen.

## What makes this site different

- **Every load claim is computed.** A pot is modelled as a truncated cone; potting
  mix density comes from published horticultural references; water is 62.4 lb per
  cubic foot. A 10-inch pot holds about 14.7 lb of saturated mix. Every hook,
  shelf and stand rating on the site is checked against that figure at a stated
  1.5x margin.
- **Plants per square foot of floor** is computed for every stand from its
  published dimensions — the metric that matters in a small flat and that no
  listing publishes.
- **Nothing here has been tested.** Pot & Prop has no test bench and has handled
  none of these products. Specifications are quoted as the seller's claims;
  everything else is computed and sourced. There are no first-party ratings, no
  Review or AggregateRating markup, and no testimonials.
- **Prices are live or absent.** A price appears only when a live, date-stamped
  data layer has a recent figure. Otherwise the page says "Check price". Where a
  figure cannot be verified, the site says so.
- **Renter-first.** Anything needing a wall fixing is flagged; no-drill
  alternatives are ranked wherever they exist.
